3. This is a monetary award for restoration of a Hudson Vehicle. No fully-modified vehicles or custom vehicles are eligible. The purpose of this award is to encourage members to get their Hudson Vehicles to be put back on the road.

Hudson Vehicle will be eligible to compete for this monetary award only once.
Hudson Vehicles which have partial modifications such as conversion to 12
volts, safety features, air conditioning, etc., are eligible for the
5. A significant portion of the restoration work on the Hudson Vehicle must have been completed since the last HET Club National Meet. A Hudson Vehicle must be restored to an original appearance, such as the correct style of wheels and bumpers. Any road-worthy Hudson Vehicle that has sustained damages from an incident or accident does not qualify if only the damaged portion of the Hudson Vehicle is restored. The restoration work must have been completed. Hudson Vehicles with missing items or obviously incomplete work will be disqualified. Some original items, such as interior upholstery or exterior paint, may be retained if they are original in appearance and in presentable condition.
6. The Hudson Vehicle must be present at the HET Club National Meet, but need not have been driven to the HET Club National Meet.

The HET Club Board of Directors will determine the criteria; rules and regulations for eligibility of a Hudson Vehicle to apply for the monetary award, subject to the conditions set forth in the W.D. “Bill” Albright Conditional Deed of Gift (“Conditional Gift”). The Hudson Vehicle winner will be drawn by lot from eligible entries at the HET Club National Meet banquet.
8. The annual monetary award will be in the amount of $2,000. Others may add money to the Conditional Gift, provided that the additional money is used in the same fashion as set forth in the Conditional Gift. The money received from the Conditional Gift is not to become a part of the HET Club’s general funds but is to be held by the HET Club in trust and administered separately from all other HET Club funds.
9. The H.E.T. club President shall appoint the Chairperson of the Screening Committee. A Screening Committee of at least 3 people, 2 of which will be appointed each year by the Screening Committee Chairperson, with 1 of the 3 being an HET Club Director.
10. The Screening Committee shall keep their deliberations and discussions confidential, except: (a) to report any need for further Rules & Regulations to determine eligibility for the W.D. “Bill” Albright Award (“Bill Albright Award”) to the President of the HET Club, and (b) to advise any applicant for the Award whether their Hudson Vehicle was determined by the Screening Committee to be eligible or ineligible for the award.
11. A member of the Screening Committee may not apply for the Bill Albright Award while serving on the Screening Committee, but may apply any year that person is not serving on the Screening Committee.

Any application for the Bill Albright Award shall be delivered to the HET Chairperson of the Screening Committee at least 48 hours before the General Membership Meeting of the HET Club held during the HET Club National Meet. Applications may be sent by mail to the Screening Committee Chairperson prior to the HET Club National Meet but, it is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure the application is received by the Screening Committee Chairperson prior to the Chairperson’s departure for the HET Club National Meet.
14. All applications should be on the “Application for Bill Albright Award” form (“Application”). The verifying second and third parties on the Application need not be present at the HET Club National Meet. Applications can be obtained from the Screening Committee Chairperson or the HET Club Secretary.
15. Screening Committee members may use their own knowledge and expertise in determining the eligibility of a Hudson Vehicle for the Bill Albright Award. Each member of the Screening Committee should inspect and view the applying Hudson Vehicle.
16. The determination of eligibility or non-eligibility by the Screening Committee of a Hudson Vehicle is final and non-appealable.
17. The restoration of the Hudson Vehicle need not be of any particular quality, but it should appear that $2,000.00 or more was spent on the restoration of the Hudson Vehicle.
