Our first meet in 10 months will be pure fun! Chris and Christa will take care of burgers and desserts. Please bring side dishes and let them know when you phone with your attendees list so that there won’t be too many duplicate sides. the meet will be rain or shine.  Their extensive Kittatinny Mountain property is perfect in all respects for our first chapter meet since December. Looking forward to seeing so many members again and ALL New Jersey Garden State Chapter members are welcome, even if you've seldom or never attended our meets.  If you plan to attend, YOU MUST call Chris or Christa no later than September 18. Directions to the September 22 Jacksic Meet:
1. Access Interstate 80 (I-80) from anywhere in New Jersey
2. Take Exit 12 on Route 80 westbound
3. Bear right to head north on Route 519/521 (It soon changes to Route 521)
4. Take 521 to the T at Route 94
5. Make a left to head south to first light (1/4 mile)
6. Make a right and continue to stay hard right to get back on 521 north
7. Go just under 1 mile to make a left on Jones Lane
8. Go 3/4 and on your left, you will see 2 stone pillars at the entrance to “Jacksic land”
9. Turn left and the party begins.

A change in plans for the Southern Indiana/Kentucky Fall Meet on Saturday, October 5, 2024.  It will be hosted by Brian and Janie Van Buskirk at their newly renovated home at 231 South Bancroft Street, Indianapolis, IN  46201.  Come any time after 10:00 AM and lunch will be served at noon Eastern time.  When using a map application you must include 231 South Bancroft Street to arrive at the correct destination.  From the intersection of East Washington Street and Emerson Avenue in Irvington, go south on Emerson Avenue 3 blocks.  Before the railroad tracks, turn right or west on East University Avenue, then right onto Bancroft Street.  Watch for “Hudson” signs. 

If you’re headed to Hershey, Pa. for the AACA Eastern Fall Nationals this October, take the
opportunity to join your fellow Hudsonites at one of the H-E-T’s gathering places in or near Hershey.
The AACA flea market will run from Tuesday, Oct. 8 through Friday, Oct. 11 on the grounds and
parking lots surrounding Hersheypark and The Giant Center. The AACA car show itself will take place
on Friday.
The H-E-T hospitality and recruitment trailer will be parked in the flea market’s Red Field at space
RNE 24-25 for the full four days, from roughly 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM daily (or until noon on Friday).
There, Club members can enjoy donuts and fresh coffee, see old friends and meet new ones, renew
Club memberships, post messages on the bulletin board, and even store heavy Hudson parts behind the
counter for pickup later in the day.
Meanwhile, the Club has arranged for a block of 15 reduced-rate rooms at the Quality Inn, 1825
Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, Pa. The rate is $ 89 per room, plus 11% tax. Members should reserve directly
with the motel at (717) 245-2242 and give the code “Hudson Automobile Club”. Reserve by Sept. 20
for the special rate. If you encounter any difficulties or rooms are sold out, please contact Jon Battle
(see below). The motel is located on Route 11, just east of its intersection with Interstate 81, (exit
52A/B). It is 30 miles west of Hershey.
A Hudson hospitality room will be open at the motel’s meeting room from 4 PM to 8 PM on Thursday
and Friday afternoons, with light snacks available.
On Thursday at 6:30 PM a dinner gathering will take place in a private room at Hoss’ Steak and Sea
House, 909 Walnut Bottom Rd., in Carlisle (located nine minutes from the motel.) Each party may
order off the menu separately. Please notify Jon Battle by Sept. 22 if you plan to attend (see contact
information below).
An all-Hudson flea market is planned at the Quality Inn parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 8 AM to
noon. No registration fee is required. However, the event depends entirely upon the weather and the
presence of parts vendors, so sellers and buyers may wish to contact Jon Battle (see below) before
planning to attend.
Finally, if you’d consider volunteering at any of the H-E-T’s Hershey activities, please contact Jon
Battle by Oct. 1 (contact information is listed below). We especially need people at the hospitality
room, and to help at the trailer, where they’ll welcome Hudson enthusiasts from across the U.S. and
around the world, recruit new members, and spread the word about Hudsons to those who have never
heard it. We can sometimes find room to display outstanding Hudsons next to the booth, allowing their
owners to park their cars right in the flea market. Contact us if you’d be interested.

The meet will be held at 183 West Bacon Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760. From the North: take I-95 south to US Rte 1 south Exit toward Foxboro, Wrentham and Gillette Stadium. Proceed to the intersection with Rte 106. Turn right on 106 toward Plainville center where Rte 106 becomes West Bacon Street. Follow West Bacon Street about 1 mile. The street bears to
the left twice. The Weber’s driveway is on the left just past two old stone railroad abutments. HET signs will be
posted. If you come to a stop sign, you have passed the driveway. Arrive at 10am. Bring your own chair. The
Webers can supply tables for family group. Hotdogs and condiments will be provided. Please bring a dish to

Southern Indiana/Kentucky Chapter’s Holiday Party will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.  The location is the Half Moon Restaurant and Brewery, 4051 S. Lafountain, Kokomo, IN 46902 (765-455-2739).  Half Moon has an extensive menu which you can view online.  Plan on spending about $30 for your meal, tax and tip, depending upon what you order.  We have a table reserved in the name of Southern Indiana/Kentucky Chapter.  Also, be sure you bring a white elephant gift for our gift exchange—find something you don’t need that will be another’s treasure or spend a minimal amount—$10 or $15.  You can see the Half Moon Restaurant from 931. Larry and Sue Kennedy will host a joint Winter Meet with the Indy Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club and the Southern Indiana/Kentucky Chapter of the Hudson Club on Saturday, March 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM Eastern Daylight savings time. This joint meet with be held at the Franklin Township Civic League, 8822 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, IN  46239 (located two houses beyond the Ordinary in downtown Wanamaker).  Hosts will provide a meat dish, water, coffee and iced tea.
