Hosted by Grand Canyon Chapter. Don Lottes has offered to hold the meet at his home in Peoria, AZ. There will be no host hotel but members are encouraged to arrange for their own accommodations in the area or bring your RV. There will be plenty of room to park. Of course there will be no banquet but Don has arranged for a fabulous BBQ with live music for those wishing to attend. Ogallala was the end of the trail for many of the cattle drives coming up from Texas from 1875 until 1885, and has a shady and violent history. It promotes itself as “Nebraska’s Cowboy Capital” and has many museums and artifacts of the times. Our host motel is visible from the Ogallala exit from I-80 and has plenty of automobile and trailer parking along with SWAP meet space and an on-site restaurant. Many personal service businesses and dining facilities, ranging from fast food to more up-scale, are close-by.

FRIDAY, JUNE 14
AM: Registration, settling in, and hospitality.
PM: Guided tour of the Mansion on the Hill and Boot Hill. Gather at Mansion on the Hill at 2:00 pm. Boot Hill is a short walk (3 blocks) and will follow. Descriptions and addresses for these attractions are in registration packets.
EVENING: Ice Cream Social and greeting 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm in the registration and hospitality room at the host hotel.
SATURDAY, JUNE 15
AM: Trip to Ash Hollow and Windlass Hill. Caravan will leave hotel parking lot at 9:00 am for the 27-mi drive to Ash Hollow State Park. The cave at the site has sheltered human beings as long as there have been humans on the Great Plains (about 6,000 yr). There is a modern visitors’ center to interpret the area. Windlass Hill is a site at which pioneers lowered their wagons into the Platte River valley. Ruts from wagons still are visible.
PM: Petrified Wood Gallery, 418 E. 1st St. At 4:00 pm this will be the venue for a recognition and awards ceremony to be followed by the Big Country Business Meeting.
EVENING: At about 6:00 pm we will shift from the Business Meeting to Front Street, just across the street, for the banquet followed by a stage show (family friendly) in the Crystal Palace.

The meet will be hosted by the Dixie Chapter in Dahlonega, Georgia. Dahlonega, nestled in Northern Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, was the site of America’s first Gold Rush. Local attractions include the Gold Museum, the University of North Georgia, an historic General Store, the English Tea Room and the famous Fudge Factory. Nearby, in Cartersville, are the spectacular Savoy Auto Museum, the Booth Western Art Museum and the Tellus Science Museum. You may also want to visit the Miles Through Time Automotive Museum, the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame in Dawsonville, and several local wineries open for tours.
